Reiki Training
Reiki Training
There are many and varied Reiki styles, practitioners and teachers out there which can make choosing one quite confusing. The following information may help you decide if I am the right teacher for you. If there is something you would like to know or ask that is not covered here, please do not hesitate to contact me, all enquiries are welcome.
I completed my Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) training in January 2005 and loved it! So, quickly went on to complete Reiki Level 2 (Okuden) in March 2005. I worked as a Reiki practitioner alongside other employment for many years. After being inspired by a client I decided to do the Master/Teacher training (Shinpiden) and completed this in February 2012.
I am an advocate of keeping things simple, and therefore favour the more traditional Japanese Usui style of working and teaching. I come from a Reiki lineage that honours both the Japanese and more Westernised Reiki treatment and teaching methods. Students, particularly at Master Level, can then decide what works best for them. There is a strong emphasis on working intuitively and developing your own intuition and working style.
Reiki is available to anyone and everyone who wants it; All you really need is an open mind, willingness and yourself, just as you are. You do not need to have psychic ability, use angel or spirit guides, or be a spiritual healer, you do not need to have a ‘gift’, however, if you do, that’s great! All are welcome.
Reiki Practitioner Training Courses
Training days are currently in person. Course materials are provided in advance. There is a strong emphasis on students taking personal responsibility for their learning prior to attending the course days which are intended to be largely practical.
Reiki Level 1 Training Course (Shoden)
Your introduction to Reiki.
Once booked, you will receive your training materials via post and email. The pre course learning may take you approximately 10 hours, depending on your learning style and pace. The in-person training day is largely practical. We will cover some of the history of Reiki, understanding the precepts, you will receive your Reiki attunements. You will begin learning how to feel energy through practical exercises. We will also do 2 of the daily Reiki meditations/energy practices. You will carry out a standard Reiki treatment with some guidance and prompts, if needed.
You do not need to memorise the training materials, you will have them to refer back to and you will be guided and supported through everything on the day.
You will leave the day with a framework for your personal Reiki practice and you can give free Reiki treatments to friends and family.
Reiki Level 1 does not qualify you to work as a practitioner with members of the public. You cannot charge for Reiki at this stage and you would not be able to get insured.
You will receive your certificate at the end of the Level 1 Training day provided you have engaged in and completed tasks throughout the day, to a satisfactory standard.
At the end of the course, we will discuss ongoing support and next steps available to you.
Course duration: Pre course home study (approx 10 hours) Plus 1 day in person training
Next in person course Date: Saturday 11th July 2026
Time: 10am-5.30pm
Location: Studio 2, Peak Performance, Whetstone, N20.
Investment: £175
Reiki Level 2 Training Course (Okuden)
This is the next level to take after Level 1 has been passed.
I would recommend a 3 month gap between Level 1 and 2 for you to integrate and embed what you have learnt at Level 1. However, I would consider this best practice, rather than compulsory.
Once booked, you will receive your training materials via post and email. The pre course learning may take you approximately 16 hours, depending on your learning style and pace and how much time you want to spend in practice.
You will gain a deeper insight into the different types of energy used within Reiki practice and their related symbols, and how you might work with them. We will do various energy exercises and practices as individuals, and in pairs to embed the learning and you will receive your Level 2 attunements.
You will leave the day with an expanded understanding and framework for your personal and professional practices.
Reiki Level 2 qualifies you to work as a practitioner with members of the public (subject to obtaining insurance). You can now charge for treatments and may wish to join a professional body for reiki practitioners, if not already done so at Level 1.
You will receive your certificate at the end of the training day provided you have demonstrated competent application of learning materials and engaged in practical tasks during the day, to a satisfactory standard.
At the end of the course, we will discuss ongoing support and next steps available to you.
Course duration: Pre course home study (approx 16 hours) Plus 1 day in person training
Next in person course Date: Saturday 17th October 2026
Time: 10am-5.30pm
Location: Studio 2, Peak Performance, Whetstone, N20.
Investment: £225
Reiki Level 3 Master/Teacher Training Course (Shinpiden)
This is the final level after Level 1 and 2 have been passed.
This is quite a big jump from Level 2 and I would recommend at least 1 years experience working as a Level 2 practitioner under your belt, before undertaking the Master course. This training includes everything you need to become a master practitioner and teacher plus deepen and develop your own personal practice. This is quite a commitment in terms of the time required for home study, however guidance is given on how to break this down into manageable pieces and support is available.
Course duration: Pre course home study (approx 30 hours) Plus 2 days in person training
Next in person course Date: To be confirmed
Time: 10am-5.30pm
Location: Studio 2, Peak Performance, Whetstone, N20.
Investment: £555
Course Dates:
Level 1: Saturday 11th July 2026
Level 2: Saturday 17th October 2026
